Rex ain’t doing those Tequila shots any more
Bet you didn’t know that mesenteric lymphadenitis occurs mainly in children and teens and often mimics the signs and symptoms of appendicitis.
I do. Now.
Three up-all-nighters with Rexy doubling up in pain, temperatures galore, two doctor’s appointments, one ultrasound and one blood test later and he is not going to be airlifted to London for an emergency appendectomy. He has enlarged lymph nodes in his intestines and an enlarged liver (better stop da booze, eh m’boy). Cos he has a nasty virus. Which will clear up all on its own. Pheweeeeeeeeee.
Here is a pic of his ultrasound. All Hosy and I wanted to know was what were those pants doing floating around in his tummy.
We thought we were hilarious. Rexy not so much.
And the radiographer clearly thought I should be sectioned.

My mother lived in Holland & Belgium for 35 yrs. She seemed to speak perfect Dutch. When I asked her dear friend if this was the case,she said, ” yes, she learnt it from ze maid”. Nice.
